I’ve been thinking quite a lot recently about the importance of telling my story.
Each of us has a story to tell, a story which reflects the journey we've travelled - the experiences we've had, the character we've developed, the gifts we've been given, the people we've met. For most of us the story will be a complex mixture of celebration and pain, opportunity and challenge, discipline and spontaneity.
Although often it doesn't feel this way, we get to choose how we allow this journey to shape us. Sometimes our choices seem infinite; sometimes they appear limited or almost non-existent. Sometimes there’s a right and a wrong option; sometimes there isn’t.
We are each the sum part of our experiences, character, gifts and choices. The older we get the more important it is that we understand our story and learn to tell it well.
